I'm currently rocking an Intel Core i7 4770K with a GT 730, and I'm thinking about upgrading to a new RTX 3050 for around $250. Is this a smart move, or should I consider other options? I also see a 5050 for $350, a 9060 XT for the same price, and a RTX 2080 Ti for about $270. What's the best path for me, especially since I'm on a budget?

If you really want to stick with new cards, look for a used RTX 3060 or 3070 if you can find them for around $250. Much better performance!
Budget-wise, you might want to hold off unless you can grab a used RX 580 or a GTX 1070. They fit better with your CPU and shouldn't break the bank.
If you can swing it, the RX 6600 is way faster and typically only a little more expensive. It’s worth checking prices in your area!
Honestly, the RTX 3050 has never really been a standout GPU, and by 2025, it still won't be great. I'd think about getting something else instead.
What should I aim for then?
I’m based in Azerbaijan; the prices here for those are around $230, but they're not exactly fresh.
