I've only ever used Windows 10 and 11, and I'm excited to try out Linux, but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone suggest a good beginner-friendly Linux distribution and share any tips or important things to keep in mind?

Don't forget to check out Linux Mint or Nobara if you want something really straightforward. They come with GUIs that allow you to manage your system without needing to dive into the terminal immediately. It's great to start getting used to Linux without feeling overwhelmed.
Yup, Mint is often mentioned as the gold standard! Easy to manage and very stable.
Linux Mint is a popular choice for newcomers. It's user-friendly and has a familiar interface, making the transition from Windows a lot smoother.
I recommend trying Ubuntu or Mint as they're both very beginner-friendly. Ubuntu has a great community and plenty of resources online to help you get started!
If you want to explore more options, consider ZorinOS or Fedora as well. ZorinOS has a very Windows-like interface, which could help ease the transition. Fedora offers a clean experience but can be a bit more advanced—still great for beginners who want to learn!
I’ve tried ZorinOS and loved it! It really felt like home for me coming from Windows.
Fedora's nice too, but just know it can get a bit technical at times.

I agree, and using a virtual machine to test them first is a smart idea!
