Below you will find a bitrate converter. This tool will allow you to enter a bitrate value, in one of many different formats and it will give you the various different representations in bytes, kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes so you can see how this value scales.
The input field will automatically set the source unit if it detects some form of bps at the end of the value that is pasted into the box. Otherwise, you will have to enter a numeric value only for the streaming bitrate to get all of the conversion values.
Converting Bitrate To Mbps
When you are converting bitrate to mbps, you will first need to determine what the input is. Since bitrate is measured in bytes, you will need to know what variation of this is with the input. The bitrate converter above will attempt to figure this out for you but if it is unclear, you may need to modify the dropdown to select the correct input.
Once you know the input, you will need to convert this value to bytes. So if it is kbps, you will need to multiply it by 1000 to get the total bytes per second.
Once you have the bytes per second value, you will be able to convert this to megabytes per second by multiplying the bps value by 1000000.
