I've been researching SSDs for my PC build and I've come across different opinions. Some people suggest using just one large SSD, while others recommend having two: one for the operating system and another for games and pictures. What setup is truly the best for an average user?

I find having multiple SSDs helpful for organizing my files—one for Windows and software, another for games, and I use HDDs for larger backups. It just keeps everything running smoothly and avoids wear on the drives.

Honestly, one good 2TB NVMe SSD is all many people really need. You can always add another later on if necessary. Just make sure it’s large enough to cover your needs.

For most users, a single 2TB SSD is usually enough. You don't need to separate your OS anymore, but if you plan to store a ton of data, consider getting an HDD for storage and keeping the SSD for the OS and games.

I'd recommend having two SSDs, one for the OS and the other for games and software. This way, you avoid having to back up all your files when you need to reinstall Windows. It's nice to keep things separate.

You can achieve that by just partitioning one drive. No need for two separate drives.

It's interesting to think about, but if you're not doing high-performance tasks, one is fine. However, for organization, I prefer having one for OS and one for other stuff. Just helps with performance in the long run.
