Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between a 60W and a 100W charging cord for my MacBook Pro 13 inch from 2018. I know the original comes with a 61W cord, so I'm curious if a 60W cord would charge my laptop slower or cause any issues. If both options are pretty similar, I'd go with the 60W since it's longer. What do you think?

If you opt for the 100W cord, you'll be able to charge at full speed if your charger can handle that wattage. However, with a 60W cable, you'll just see slower charging times, especially with that extra length. It won't burn out your device or anything though, just expect longer charging times!
Honestly, the charger type matters more than the cable's wattage. If you're using a charger that can support 61W, a 100W cord won't hurt, but it won't significantly speed things up unless you're using a compatible charger. Longer cords are useful if you need that extra reach though!
So you’re saying a 100W cable is a good backup, but it’s more about the charger itself? That makes sense!
Got it! If it’s just a bit slower, I can live with that. Thanks!
