Hey everyone! I'm currently working as a SysAdmin Engineer with about a year and a quarter of experience, and I've been diving into some key areas like OpenShift Admin (handling full ownership of three large production clusters), Linux management (RHEL), and virtualization technologies like VMware and Nutanix. Over the next 50 days leading up to Diwali, I'm looking to strengthen my Linux skills and learn Ansible for automation, along with Terraform for cloud provisioning. I also plan to work on two solid projects—one using Ansible and another with Terraform. My ultimate goal is to transition into a DevOps Engineer role. So, my question is: Do you think this roadmap is enough to start landing DevOps interviews with my current background, or should I learn about CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions before I start applying? Thanks for any advice!

It sounds like you're on the right track, but I noticed you didn't mention any programming languages. If you're only doing Bash scripting, that's cool, but many employers are leaning towards candidates with Python or Go skills since it's getting pretty competitive out there.
Your skills look solid for a start! If local jobs are asking for certificates, it might be smart to pursue a few. It’ll definitely give you an edge, especially if you don't already have a strong portfolio of projects to showcase.
Honestly, it all comes down to luck and the current job market. I've got similar skills and I'm still stuck in a SysAdmin role. Just be prepared that the market can be tough right now.
