Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my GPU and could use some advice. I've just updated my AM4 motherboard and installed a 5700X3D CPU, which really boosted my performance by about 50-60% for flight simming. Right now, I'm using an AMD 7800XT and have 64GB of RAM. I split my time on the computer about 60% for flight simulation and 40% for video editing with Davinci Resolve Studio. I'm looking at the possibility of getting a new GPU, and I'm weighing my options: should I go for the 9070 XT, the RTX 5080, or is there another card you'd recommend? Thanks in advance for your insights!

From what I know, NVIDIA cards tend to perform better with productivity apps like Davinci Resolve due to CUDA support, but you might want to check if Resolve takes advantage of that. Overall, I believe the 5080 is a more powerful card compared to the 9070 XT. I recently upgraded to a 5070 and wow, the image quality and frame generation are incredible! If you're into those features, the 5080 is probably worth the extra cash. Plus, if you're planning on gaming, it's a solid investment!
Absolutely! The 5000 series got some hate for mixed reviews on frame generation, but after using it, I can confidently say it’s quite decent, just not quite the same as traditional frame generation.
