I built my computer two years ago, and everything's been running smoothly until I updated the BIOS recently. The update was meant to improve voltage stability for my 13th Gen CPU. After successfully updating via the EZ Flash 3 utility, the issue arose where my computer boots directly to the BIOS menu instead of Windows. I have to manually select the OS from there to get to Windows.
Here are my specs:
- Windows 11
- I5-13500K
- ASUS TUF Gaming B760M-PLUS
- ASUS TUF-RTX 4070-012G-GAMING
I've already unplugged the computer for a bit and tinkered with various BIOS settings, but nothing worked. I heard clearing the CMOS could help, but that's going to be a hassle since taking apart my PC is a real challenge. I'm hoping there's just a setting in the BIOS that needs tweaking. Additionally, my system fails to wake from sleep, requiring another trip through the BIOS to boot up.

It sounds like you might need to check the boot settings in the BIOS. Make sure your boot order is set correctly, and look for options related to CSM (Compatibility Support Module) and UEFI. Some users have found success by adjusting these settings after a BIOS update.
Just a heads-up, make sure to double-check if you've got the right boot mode set (like UEFI or Legacy). If you're still having to select the boot drive manually from Boot Override each time, it may just be an issue with the way the boot options are configured post-update. You might want to try disabling CSM if you're only using UEFI.
Before the update, did your PC show the ASUS logo or just the plain Windows logo on boot? If it was the ASUS logo before, you might want to verify the Fast Boot setting in your BIOS. It could have been changed during the update, which can affect how the boot process initiates.
