Why is my laptop’s Wi-Fi speed so much slower than my phone’s?

I've noticed that while my phone gets around 200 Mbps on Wi-Fi, my laptop (a Legion model) only manages to come in under 5 Mbps. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'd appreciate explanations in simple terms to understand why this is happening.

Are you connecting your laptop via Ethernet or Wi-Fi? If it's Ethernet, consider swapping your cable for a high-quality one. I had similar issues when a low-quality cable limited my speed to around 5 Mbps due to a negotiation issue with the router. Switching to a Cat 5e cable worked wonders for me!

I'm using Wi-Fi, not a cable.

It could also be a faulty driver or issues with your Wi-Fi card or antenna. If your drivers are outdated or malfunctioning, they could really drag down your speed. Updating or reinstalling them might help, as well as checking your hardware itself.

The speed difference often comes down to the network card in your laptop. Older models may not support faster speeds compared to what's in your phone. If you can, check what kind of network card your laptop has. It might be the bottleneck.

My laptop uses an Rz616 with 160 MHz. Could that be the issue?
