I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since I'm currently using a 2080. I'm considering either the RTX 570 or the AMD 9070, and I can get both for MSRP. I also plan to upgrade my main monitor to 1440p during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Which one would be the better choice?

The 9070 seems like the better option overall. However, if you can snag the RTX 570 for a considerably lower price, it might be worth considering. Just remember, you might miss out on that extra VRAM for future titles, but 12GB is still sufficient for most games right now.
If you're getting both at MSRP, definitely go for the 9070. It has 16GB of VRAM, which will be much more future-proof compared to the 12GB in the RTX 570, especially over the next few years. Plus, it's comparable in performance and better for 1440p gaming based on benchmarks.
I vote for the 9070 too.
