Is My Motherboard or CPU the Issue?

I'm having trouble with my new motherboard. The B2 RAM slot isn't working—I've tested both of my RAM sticks in both slots, and they only boot when I use the A2 slot. Whenever I try using B2 or both slots, it lights up a DRAM error. I'm worried about possibly needing a new motherboard. What should I do? I hope it's not the CPU that's causing the problem.

Have you tried reseating the CPU? Sometimes a loose connection can cause those kinds of issues. It might be worth checking out even if one RAM stick works fine in A2.

Should I still reseat it if the PC turns on with one RAM stick in the working slot?

Just a heads up, since it's a brand new motherboard, it could be a defective slot. If the previous board had no issues and this one does, it's definitely worth contacting support or considering a replacement.

It really depends on the CPU brand and model you're using. Sometimes, it could be that one or more pins are bent or broken. Definitely check the CPU and the socket on the motherboard for any visible damage.

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D, do you think that changes anything?
