Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and I've got all my parts ready to go. I was thinking of using an old power supply unit (PSU) from a previous build. Here are the specs of my current build: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, AMD RX 7700XT graphics card, a 2TB SSD, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Thermalright PS120SE cooler, and a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 motherboard. I'm curious if my 500W PSU will be sufficient for this setup. Thanks for the help!

I'd recommend looking for a PSU with at least 700W for that build. It’s better to have a little extra power to avoid any issues down the line!

I'd suggest something around 600W to be safe, just to give you room for upgrades in the future.

If your PSU is a reputable brand and rated gold or above, you might be okay, but I would still suggest aiming for a 650-750W PSU. You really don’t want to skimp on your power supply!

Efficiency ratings don’t necessarily reflect build quality, though! Just make sure you pick a reliable brand.

I think the MSI MAG A750GL would work fine for your setup!

Yes, that PSU should be sufficient!
