I'm building my very first PC, and I'm starting to feel a bit lost. I used PC Part Picker to choose my components, and everything seemed compatible until I got to the AIO cooler. Now I can't seem to fit it at the top of the case, like I've seen in a lot of builds. I've heard that I might be able to swap out the front fans, but I'm unsure how to do that. Any experts out there with advice? I'd really appreciate it! Here's what I'm working with:
- **Case:** Montech XR ATX Mid-Tower Wood
- **Cooler:** Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro 360
- **Motherboard:** MSI Pro Z890-S Wifi

The issue is likely that your AIO is thicker than a standard one. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III has a radiator that’s 38mm thick, while the usual size is around 27mm. So if it doesn’t fit, that’s probably why! If you’re having trouble, check if the radiator is bumping into your fans or the case itself.
Yeah, like GadgetGuru mentioned, the thickness is definitely your problem. I can only guess you’ve got some interference with the fans at the top or the rear fan and the hoses? If you share a photo, we might spot the issue and suggest some solutions!
It’s a bummer you didn’t ask about compatibility before you bought your parts. You can check out the comments from Montech on their subreddit regarding whether the Arctic Freezer III fits in your case. If you’re using it at the top, it should be exhausting air out, but if you removed the rear fan, that might not work well.
