I'm trying to choose between two CPU and GPU combos, both available at the same price, and I can't mix and match:
1. Ryzen 8700F with Nvidia 5070 Ti
2. Ryzen 9800X3D with AMD 9070 XT
I know that the 9800X3D is highly regarded for gaming, but I've heard its L3 Cache mainly benefits MMOs, strategy, and open-world games. I'm more into RPGs and don't play those genres. My main focus is 4K gaming with top-notch graphical fidelity, where the 5070 Ti seems to outperform the 9070 XT.
Am I making a mistake by thinking the 5070 Ti combo is the better option for what I play? I want to make a well-informed choice, and although I see the advantages of going all AMD (like running bazzite or SteamOS later), I'm leaning towards the 5070 Ti if it's the clear winner. Any insights would help! Thanks!

I'm running a 4070 Ti and an i7-11700K, and it handles 4K at 60 fps fine for me. Either combo should perform well, but I lean towards the Ryzen 9800X3D/AMD 9070 XT. It just seems more balanced for gaming.
I recommend avoiding the Ryzen 8000 series with a dedicated GPU since they aren't as efficient for CPU tasks as the 7000 series. They focus more on integrated graphics performance. The 8700F you've mentioned is fine as long as you don't need those extras.
Got it! Since the 8700F doesn’t have integrated graphics, what do you think about its performance within my gaming needs? Still figuring out if CPU power or GPU strength is more critical.
I'd go for the 9800X3D and 9070 XT. Those GPUs are pretty much on par, but the 9800X3D is a stronger CPU overall, especially for most games. It might help you in the long run for future titles!
Thanks for the input! I’m watching some hardware reviews, and the 5070 Ti does seem to pull ahead in a lot of tests, so I’m still weighing my options.

Appreciate it! I’m doing more digging, and you might be right. Just have to convince my partner about the cost, haha.
