I've noticed that my CPU peaks at around 94°C during gaming sessions, but it generally stays at about 86°C on average. Is this a serious issue that I can fix by just adding an extra fan? Currently, I have two fans that came with my case and one additional one. Or do I need to upgrade to a new case that has better airflow?

It’s actually not an issue! AMD has stated that their newer processors can run at 95°C without problems. If your average temps are below that, you're in the clear since the CPU will only hit those high temps when it’s really working hard.
Don’t sweat it, that's how the 9800x3d is meant to work. But if you're still worried, feel free to look into better cooling options or a new case for improved airflow if you think it’s necessary.
Your temps are okay for now, but if you want them lower, check out some better CPU coolers or maybe a case upgrade. Just ensure the case supports good airflow.
I have a 9800x3d too, and I'm using a 9070xt. Do you mind if I ask what cooler you’re using? And just to let you know, mine runs around 60°C while gaming with a 280 AIO cooler, so yours does seem a bit high.
The temperatures you’re seeing are fine. Just make sure you have decent intake fans in your case. If you're running the CPU stock, you might also want to try undervolting through the BIOS; it could help substantially. It only took me a few days to get mine down from 95°C to around 68°C on most games!

I’m running a 7800x3d with the same GPU, and my temps are good at 60+ too. Maybe consider an AIO cooler?
