Which GPU Should I Choose: 9070 16GB or 5070 12GB?

I'm looking to build a new PC and was initially considering the 9060 XT 16GB paired with an R5 9600X CPU. However, I'm now thinking about upgrading to either the 9070 with 16GB or the 5070 with 12GB, mainly due to budget constraints since the 9070 is about 80-100 euros more expensive than the 5070. My primary use will be gaming at 1440p. What are your thoughts on which GPU would be the better choice for this setup?

If you're playing primarily at 1440p, I'd lean towards the 9070. It provides better performance overall, especially in demanding scenarios. Just keep in mind that you might struggle a bit at higher settings with only 12GB of VRAM on the 5070 in the long run.

Honestly, for the price difference, the 5070 is a solid choice. If it fits your budget better, go with that one. You'll still get great performance without breaking the bank.

Honestly, the 9070 is the safest bet if the price difference isn't a dealbreaker. You may want the extra VRAM for newer games and higher settings down the road, and it's unarguably more powerful with the right price adjustment.

The 5070 is the way to go if it's significantly cheaper. At 1440p, 12GB of VRAM is usually enough for a couple of years, plus it outperforms the 9060 XT by a decent margin. Don't overthink it; save some cash!

What makes it better than the 9060 XT?

It has faster cores and better overall architecture, leading to superior performance, especially in newer games.

It really depends on your future gaming plans. If you're aiming for 4K gaming down the line, go for the 9070. But if you're sticking to 1440p, either GPU should work fine, and the cheaper option might be a better move for your wallet.
