Hey everyone, I recently had to move my PC to a new desk setup. A friend helped me, but they weren't super careful, and the PC bumped against the desk leg a couple of times. It used to sit on the floor, and after moving it, it started overheating and shutting down. I cleaned out a lot of dust, and while the top of the PC isn't as hot anymore, it's still idling at a scorching 90°C without any programs running. I don't know many of the specs since I bought it used. Any suggestions on how I can fix this overheating issue?

First things first, check what CPU cooler you have and make sure all the fans are working. Sometimes when you move things around, connections can get loose. And if you have an AIO cooler, the pump needs to be running too. You might have accidentally disconnected something during the move!
Honestly, it's a rite of passage for PC users—every computer either overheats or doesn't boot after moving! You're not alone in this!
Have you thought about replacing the thermal paste on the CPU cooler? If you don't know what fan system it has, that might be something to check too. It's often overlooked but really can make a difference!
Could be 'load-bearing dust' that you missed? But seriously, check your cooling setup and make sure everything's running as it should. That could really be the culprit here.
Make sure all your fans are indeed spinning. If they are, check that the CPU cooler is securely attached. If it feels loose, you might want to reapply some thermal paste between the CPU and cooler; that could help a lot.
Do you think it might have shifted while being moved? It could explain the overheating.
I'm trying to get the specs from the guy who built it. Here's a photo I took, but I'm not sure if any cables are out of place.
