What’s Causing My Windows PC to Keep Crashing and Showing BSOD?

I've been dealing with frustrating issues on my PC for months now, and it's really wearing me down. My Windows system randomly experiences BSODs (Blue Screen of Death), and sometimes browser windows or tabs just vanish unexpectedly, along with apps and games closing without any warning or error messages. It's all very random, and I can't seem to replicate the issues when I try.

I've run diagnostics both in the BIOS and with the Dell Support Assist app, and they haven't flagged any problems. I've also done a memtest, which came back clean. Interestingly, I recently uninstalled the KB5063878 update after hearing it could cause problems, and since then, I haven't experienced a single BSOD! That said, I still face frequent crashes with apps and windows disappearing.

I'm reaching out because I really need some guidance on how to resolve these annoying issues before my warranty with Dell runs out next month.

It sounds like you're having a tough time! For your BSODs, getting your dump files is crucial since they're the logs of what went wrong. You can find them in C:WindowsMinidump; if you’ve got any there, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. The more dump files, the better!

Also, since the problems seem to happen during disk I/O, have you checked if your Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) drivers are up-to-date? Sometimes outdated drivers can cause all kinds of chaos with crashes. Even though Dell’s telling you everything's updated, it's worth double-checking directly on their support site for the latest drivers.

Yeah, definitely check those drivers! It's wild how much a tiny driver can throw everything off. And don't forget to make those backups of your data before you dive into changes.
