I'm exploring patching solutions for over 250 Windows machines and currently rely on a managed service provider (MSP) for this. However, I'm really taken aback by the $3100/month fee we're paying for patching services, which seems excessive. I'm considering bringing this process in-house and have started looking into options like DattoRMM, NinjaOne, and PDQ. I'd love to hear what others think about these solutions or any recommendations you have!

In my experience, Action1 is a solid choice for patching. It does its job without major issues, and it’s nice that they don’t bombard you with a bunch of unnecessary add-ons. Plus, it's free for up to 200 clients, which is great if you're just starting out. For us, it costs under 5k a year for 200 seats, and it includes a decent remote tool, though not as slick as some others.
Totally agree on Action1! I jumped on their service when they increased the free tier. It manages both OS and third-party updates well, has good vulnerability reporting, offers remote desktop, and lets you add custom apps. I've had a great experience so far!
