I recently reinstalled Windows 11 from a USB drive. During the installation, I reached the "select location to install Windows" screen and noticed four partitions available. I picked the fourth one, which had Windows installed on it, but I'm not sure if I should have formatted it before selecting. Additionally, I found a 'windows.old' folder on my drive and deleted it. Am I good to go now, or do I need to go through the reinstallation process again?

From your description, it sounds like the partitioning might be a bit tricky since Disk 0 Partition 4 is much larger. If you can't delete the other partitions, focus on giving the installer the best chance by trying to clear out as much as you can before selecting the main partition for installation.
It’s probably best to reinstall. Choosing the same partition without formatting can leave you with duplicate partitions. Ideally, you should delete all the partitions on the main disk before selecting the unallocated space for a clean install. Windows will handle the formatting automatically when you do it this way.
I get where you're coming from! Just be careful, especially with your partitions. If you see 'Disk 0 Partition 4,' that’s probably where things are set up right now, but make sure you’re only deleting partitions related to the main disk, not your recovery or USB drive partitions.
