Is the Origin of Computation Really Just the Universe?

I've been thinking about the origins of everything, like software and hardware. I recently came across a statement that says: "You see a computer → it runs software → software tells hardware → hardware moves electrons → electrons exist because atoms exist → atoms exist because the universe behaves this way." It seems to suggest that the true origin of computation is the universe itself. I'm not a computer science expert, just a developer who creates CRUD apps. Is this idea accurate?

It's a fun way to look at it! The simplest complete simulation of a system is actually the system itself.

Yeah, that's pretty much spot on! Everything boils down to physics in the end.

Literally, everything we're talking about is tied back to the universe. It's all interconnected!
