I'm helping a friend update their BIOS, but I only have one USB drive that I'm currently using to create a recovery drive (it's 64GB, so space isn't really a concern). Is it safe to place the BIOS update on the same USB drive? If it's not safe to do so, is there a way to temporarily store the recovery drive files on my computer until I finish the BIOS update? What would be the best approach here? Thanks in advance! ❤️

It really depends on the motherboard and the method used for the BIOS update. For example, some Asus motherboards allow you to use a BIOS file that's saved on an internal drive, while others may require USB drives of 8GB or smaller, formatted to FAT32. Since you mentioned you have a Prime Z790, it might support that internal drive option, which could make it easier for you.
I gotcha, that makes sense. They have a Prime Z790, and I did double-check that the drive is formatted FAT32 as well!
