I'm having a problem with my Acer laptop running Windows 11. It won't turn on unless I have the charger plugged in, but even then, it doesn't charge the battery, even though the laptop recognizes the charger is connected. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

How old is your laptop? If it's around 2 years old, the battery might be reaching the end of its life. It could be time for a replacement or at least a reset for the battery management system. I’ve had success doing that on other Acer models.
Before you decide to replace your battery, make sure to check your backups. Making changes in the BIOS or resetting things can sometimes lead to lost data, so it’s better to be safe!
It sounds like your battery might be dead or not functioning properly. Have you tried checking the battery health or using any diagnostic tools? Sometimes older batteries just give up after a couple of years.

Which program do you suggest for checking battery health?
