Should I go for a 650W or 750W power supply for my PC build?

I'm building a gaming rig with a Ryzen 5 9600X, an RX 6900 XT 16GB Gaming OC, 2x16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB Gen 4 NVMe SSD. A lot of folks are recommending I get a 750W power supply, but I'm on a tight budget and leaning towards a 650W unit. Do I really need the 750W, or will the 650W suffice for my setup?

You won't regret going with 750W! If your budget is tight, though, consider looking at second-hand options rather than brand new. Just ensure it's from a reliable source!

Just to clarify, you’re suggesting a second-hand PSU, or are you thinking of a whole second-hand PC?

Honestly, a 650W power supply should be more than enough for your system. Even a decent 550W would work fine if you get a quality unit. I’d recommend prioritizing build quality over wattage if you can.
