Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC primarily for gaming and some work-related tasks, and I'd love your input on my setup. Here's the list of components I'm considering:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler:** be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- **Motherboard:** ASRock X870 Pro RS WiFi ATX AM5
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000
- **Storage:** Toshiba X300 4 TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
- **Video Card:** Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
- **Case:** Antec FLUX PRO ATX Full Tower
- **Power Supply:** Corsair CX (2023) 650 W 80+ Bronze

The total cost comes out to about £1675.03. Do you think this build makes sense? Any suggestions or changes I should consider? Thanks a ton!

Honestly, that hard drive is priced way too high for what it is. SSDs are the way to go, they’re way faster and often cheaper now too. As for the rest, consider going for a newer CPU for better performance and lower power consumption. Maybe get a cheaper CPU cooler that matches your color scheme, and you could save on the motherboard too while keeping the same features. Overall, if you're planning to upgrade later, this would make things easier!

Quick question: if I switch to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, do I need a stronger power supply?

Answered By TechSavvyNerd24 On

I recommend swapping out the HDD for an M.2 NVMe SSD. It’s significantly faster and will make your system snappier. Also, consider a more efficient power supply with a bit more wattage for extra headroom. If you're aiming for an all-white setup, there are compatible components to help with that. The case you chose is nice, but there’s a non-pro version that could save you some cash!

Great thoughts! I’ve heard SSDs drastically improve load times, definitely worth it.

Thanks for the tips! I'll look into the SSD option for sure.
