Is My CPU Fan Cable Damage Dangerous?

I accidentally damaged the wrapping around my CPU fan cable and now one of the wires is exposed. I'm worried about whether this is dangerous or if it's okay to leave as is. I need some solid advice from someone who really knows what they're talking about!

If only a little bit of the copper is showing, you might be okay for the short term, but it’s best to be safe. You should get some electrical tape and wrap the exposed part to keep it from touching anything else. Just be careful with it until you can fix it properly!

Just get some electrical tape and wrap it up. If you’re super nervous about it, think about exchanging it for a new one if you can. The main concern is if the exposed wire comes into contact with anything metal, which could cause a short. Better to be cautious, but it’s not the end of the world—just tape it up and move on!

I don’t have electrical tape at home, and it’s pretty late right now! It’s all tucked away, so fixing it will be tough.
