Computer Crashes After Waking Up from Sleep Mode – What to Do?

Hey everyone! So, I've got this issue where my computer crashes after waking it up from sleep mode. I usually put it to sleep instead of shutting it down (saves the session in RAM). The other day, I accidentally hit a key on the keyboard while I was looking for my headphones, and then I saw an error message about something involving the kernel, but it disappeared too quickly to read. After that, my computer restarted without any problem, but I checked the event viewer and it said something about a bug check related to a crash.

The error code was: 0x0000013a (along with some other numbers). I looked into the minidump file, and I've run a memory check that passed. I also did a DISM restore and SFC scan – both completed successfully without finding any issues.

I've read that some people suggest using Driver Verifier, but that sounds risky, and I'm not sure I want to do that. Is there a chance this is linked to a recent Windows update bug? Or is it likely just a random glitch? I suspect it could be a driver issue, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it without making things worse. I had the thought that I might have hit the jackpot and it could be a one-time anomaly that won't happen again. Any advice?

By the way, here's the dump file link for more context: [dump file link].

It sounds like you did a lot already! Getting those dump files will really help with analyzing the BSODs. If you can get into Windows, check the C:WindowsMinidump folder for any files after the crash. If you've got dump files, zip them up and upload them somewhere like catbox.moe or mediafire, and share the link.

First things first, make sure your system is up to date! Check both Microsoft updates and any updates from your PC's manufacturer, like HP. I noticed your BIOS version is outdated (F.25), and the latest is F.32. You can usually find this on the support page for your model.

Definitely give the BIOS update a shot! If you're still facing issues after updating both the BIOS and Windows, it might be worth looking deeper into possible driver conflicts. For now, if it seems stable after a couple of days, it could just have been a weird glitch.
