Having CPU Overheating Issues with My Ryzen 7, Help!

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with some frustrating thermal issues. My setup includes a Ryzen 7 7700X and an MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 cooler. Right after booting into Windows, I notice my CPU temperature shoots up to 85–95°C, even when I'm barely using it (just idling or running VS Code). At times, my PC even shuts down on its own. I checked the thermal paste situation and have some photos if needed. I'm really unsure whether I should just repaste and reseat the cooler or go ahead and replace the entire unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Did you remember to take off the plastic film from the bottom of the CPU cooler? That could definitely cause overheating. Also, make sure that the pump is actually running!

I haven’t checked how to confirm if the pump is working. Any tips?

First things first, double-check if the pump on your cooler is properly connected and functioning. That's often a crucial part in keeping your CPU cool!
