My wife and I are avid Xbox gamers, and she's interested in diving into PC gaming. The problem is, neither of us has any experience with building or setting up a PC. She's shared some component ideas with me, but we want to know what would be a good starting point. Since she's not entirely sure if she'll prefer PC gaming over our Xbox, we're trying to keep the budget around $600 to $800. We need suggestions for a decent starter build that gives us good value for our money. Any help would be appreciated!

Honestly, if you can stretch your budget to around $1000 to $1200, you’ll have a lot more options, especially depending on the games she plans to play. What kind of games are you looking at?
You might want to check out PCPartPicker; it’s a great resource for building PCs. Just a heads up, though, if you’re planning to buy everything, including the monitor and peripherals, $600–$800 is going to be pretty tight for a decent setup. If you already have some of the accessories, you’ll have more options, otherwise consider looking into refurbished pre-built systems or slightly increasing your budget to make the experience worthwhile!
I’ll definitely check it out! Thanks for the tip.
You can score super cheap peripherals at thrift stores too! I found a monitor and keyboard combo for about $30.

She plays Overwatch, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley—nothing super graphics-intensive.
