Will the Corsair RM850x PSU work with my new build?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my PC with a Ryzen 9 9800x3d and an Asus 870 TUF Plus WiFi motherboard. Unfortunately, my previous power supply, a Corsair GS850W, only has a single 8-pin CPU connector, which has caused some issues. I use an extender to connect my 3060ti, but it wouldn't boot until I adjusted some connections. Now I'm looking at a Corsair RM850x Gold and want to know if it'll meet the 2x8 pin needs for my motherboard and CPU.

You're good to go with a single 8-pin for the 9800x3d! Just make sure it's the CPU/EPS cable (4+4), not a 6+2 PCIe cable, as they serve different purposes. So, as long as you have the right cable, you won't have a problem!

Gotchya, thank you so much! Any ideas why boards like these have 2x 8 pins and what the purpose would be if 1x 8 pin is enough?
