Hey everyone! I'm excited to share my first PC build after doing a ton of research. However, I'm a little worried I might have missed something important. I'd love it if you could take a look at my setup and share your thoughts, especially regarding compatibility or if there are any better value options out there. My build is designed for gaming, productivity, and editing at 1440p. Here's what I have planned:
- Case: Fractal Design North ATX
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS AM5 ATX
- Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB
- CPU: Ryzen 5 7600 or 9600X
- RAM: Kingston FURY 32 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 16GB)
- SSD: Western Digital Black SN850X NVMe M.2 2TB (without heatsink, included in the motherboard)
- Monitor: I'm still deciding between the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG or the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2
- PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 750W

If cost is a factor, I'd recommend considering the 9070 over the 5070. It usually offers better VRAM and FSR 4 support is improving, which is a plus for future-proofing your build. While the 5070 is slightly better for ray tracing, it can struggle with VRAM in some situations. Definitely worth weighing your options!
What country are you in? It might help to link your build on PCPartPicker directly. It's a great tool for checking compatibility and pricing. As for the components, they look solid! Just make sure that your PSU has enough power for all those parts. I’d love to hear your thoughts on them once you put the build together!
I’m in Europe! I just linked my build on PCPartPicker. Let me know if you have any specific thoughts on my choices!
Thanks for the advice! I noticed the 9070 is a bit pricier, and with 1440p in mind, I thought I’d manage okay with the 5070's VRAM. But I’ll keep this suggestion in mind!
