I just got my Antec NE650Gm PSU, but it has a UK plug that doesn't fit any of my sockets at home. The plug configuration is 13A 250V, while the wall plugs I have available are rated for either 6A 250V or 10A 250V. Since I'm in India, does anyone know if I should just buy an adapter, or can I use one of my existing plugs? Also, I'm a bit confused about the voltage and amp compatibility between UK and Indian standards. Thanks for your help!

That plug is definitely a UK one! You have a couple of options: you can either buy a cable that has the correct Indian plug on one end while keeping the standard IEC C13 connector for the PSU, or you could get a simple adapter. Just make sure whatever you choose is rated correctly.
What’s the difference between plugs by country? I’m also from India and sometimes get confused with the voltage.
Just switch it for a cord that has the Indian standard plug! Your PSU has a standard IEC C13 connector, so you don’t need to worry about voltage since India runs on 230V just like the UK. The existing 6A and 10A cords you have should work perfectly fine—650W doesn’t pull more than 4-5A at that voltage anyway.
Thanks for clearing that up! I think I’ll use the 10A 250V cord then.
Looks like what you received is indeed a British plug. Do you know what the original cord from your PSU is rated, though? It’s good to ensure compatibility!
I’m definitely in India, so I’ll have to find a solution that matches our standards!
I'd suggest using the 10A 250V cable—it's always good to be on the safer side!
Yeah, it’s a UK plug, but you can easily use it with a flat extension lead. Just make sure you’re not switching to a lower voltage cable, as that could be dangerous!
Good point! Luckily, both India and the UK use 230V, so you should be fine there.
Yeah, or you could always contact customer support if you're unsure. But really, as long as you get a cable that meets the spec, it should work just fine! If it’s a dodgy replacement, though, it could mess up your warranty.
