I recently built a budget PC with an ASUS Prime B550 Plus and a Ryzen 5 5600, and it was running Windows 11 without issues. However, after I accidentally installed Git Bash and some other tools while trying to dive into coding on VS Code, my system started crashing. It crashed waking from sleep mode and now it won't boot properly, always hitting a stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.
I can still access the BIOS, but once I attempt to boot, the PC crashes to the blue screen again. I tried reinstalling Windows using the same USB drive I originally used, but it hasn't worked. Also, I experimented with Hirens BootCD, which also crashed during boot.
I've made sure to adjust the BIOS settings regarding secure and fast boot options, prioritizing the USB drive accordingly, but it continues to crash right at the start of booting. Is there a way to diagnose this issue, perhaps by reading crash logs before hitting the BSOD, or to boot up successfully despite these problems? All my main components seem to show up fine in the BIOS, so I'm wondering if I might be able to salvage some parts or if I'll need to replace the motherboard or SSD if this keeps up.

Just to clarify, when you choose to boot from the USB drive, are you getting sent back to the boot selection screen? I’ve heard of that happening sometimes with Windows 11. It could indicate an issue with the setup or the USB drive itself.
If you can only boot from the BIOS, this might not be unique to your setup but could be somewhat common with Windows 11. Just make sure that your USB is properly bootable. Otherwise, you might want to consider checking it on another computer or recreating it.
To tackle those BSOD issues, you should try getting your dump files first. These files contain crash logs that are crucial for figuring out what's wrong. If you can boot into Windows normally or even through Safe Mode, check for dump files in C:WindowsMinidump. If you find any, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. It’s helpful to have multiple dump files, so if you only have one, consider changing your settings to create Small Memory Dumps. This will ensure you have more to work with for analysis.
