Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on installing Windows 10 on an SSD. If I set up the SSD using a boot stick on my PC (let's call it PC A), will that SSD work properly when I move it to a different PC (PC B)? Just to clarify, I haven't installed anything else on the drive, and it wasn't connected to the internet during installation. Here's the situation: I recently built a PC for a friend, but we ran into issues with the USB stick. So, I managed to install Windows 10 to his SSD on my machine. Now, I'm wondering if we can just plug that SSD into his PC and it'll work okay, or will we need to reinstall everything? For context, my setup is a ROG Strix B550 F-Gaming with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, while his setup is a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600.

You should be good to go! Just plug the SSD into your friend's computer and make sure to install all the drivers from the motherboard's website afterwards. That'll get everything running smoothly!
Consider installing Windows 11 instead since support for Windows 10 is ending soon. If you want to get security updates for a longer period, that might be a better route to take.
Yeah, I’m aware the support is fading. We thought the SSD issues with Windows 11 might pose a problem.
I'd recommend a clean installation if possible. It'll ensure that everything works perfectly, especially since you're using different hardware.
Thanks for confirming! I figured installing drivers would be necessary.
