Should I Upgrade My CPU for Better Performance?

Hey everyone, I need some advice! I currently have an MSI H110M PRO-VH PLUS motherboard with an Intel i5 6500 processor, 16 GB of RAM (2133 MHz), and a GTX 1070 Ti GPU. I feel like my CPU and GPU might be bottlenecking my performance. Do you think I should upgrade to an i7 7700K? Thanks for any advice you can give!

Before upgrading, really think about why you want to make the switch. If there’s a specific game you love that would benefit from the upgrade and it's important for your experience, then go for it. Otherwise, you might want to save up for a more modern system instead. Your current setup can still handle a lot of good games well, so you might be okay for now!

I'm mainly looking to play RDR2, PUBG, and Project Zomboid without lag. Sometimes PUBG takes forever to load!

You might want to check out some comparison videos between the i5 6500 and the i7 7700K. While the i7 could give you a performance boost, it probably won't be a massive leap. Just a heads up!

I've seen the i7 7700K can boost performance by over 20 fps with the same GPU, so it might be worth it!
