I'm curious if I should always turn off my PSU and unplug my PC whenever I'm done using it or before going to bed. I'm particularly concerned about power surges since I've dealt with some power interruptions in the past.

For most setups, as long as your PC is off, you're safe leaving it plugged in. Just make sure it’s connected to a surge protector or, ideally, a UPS when you can swing it financially.
Surge protectors are great. They trip before any damage occurs. But if you're really worried, you could go all out and unplug everything in your house at night! But then you risk losing everything in a storm.
Honestly, do what feels right for you. If you're having frequent power issues, a UPS might be worth looking into. It acts as a battery backup, so you won’t lose power suddenly.
If you're worried about power surges, I'd suggest investing in a surge protector. They can help prevent damage by tripping before any harmful electrical surges reach your devices.
It generally doesn't make much difference in the long run. A good PSU is designed to handle power surges without damaging your components, but if the surge is severe, it might get fried itself. Just ensure you have a decent one.
True, but if the surge is serious, it can still fail, which is scary!
You should be fine! I haven’t unplugged my PC at night for years.

Thanks for the tip! I'm on the lookout for quality ones. For now, I just want to know if it's okay to unplug every time.
