I'm having trouble with my gaming PC—it won't boot when I plug it into the HDMI port. I'm eager to sort this out since I really want to stop using my subpar laptop for gaming. I've posted a picture of the hardware in the comments for reference.

Just to clarify, are you saying it actually boots up but doesn’t display anything on the monitor after that? If that’s the case, it might be a simple HDMI issue or settings on your monitor. Try reconnecting the HDMI cable or testing with another display to rule out problems with the monitor itself.

I checked out your pic, and aside from the dust, nothing seems off. When did the boot issue start? I suggest checking your power cable and the switch on the power supply. Have you tried plugging it into a different outlet? A voltmeter can be helpful here; it’ll let you check the connections and the power button to ensure everything's secure. It might be a power supply problem, but definitely try resetting any switches on the motherboard. Usually, if nothing happens when you hit the power button, it indicates a power issue.
