I'm really excited but also a bit overwhelmed since it's my first time building a PC. I'm trying to decide between two CPUs: the Ryzen 5 9600X and the Ryzen 7 7700X. For the GPU, I'm looking at either the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the RX 9070 XT 16GB. I know that many folks lean towards the Ryzen 7 7700X due to its higher core count, but I'm unsure about the GPU. My budget is around $1,000 to $1,200. What would be the best combo for a first-time builder?

If you're mainly gaming, I'd recommend the Ryzen 5 9600X. It has great single-core performance, which gives a nice boost in frame rates compared to the 7700X. For the GPU, it depends on your monitor and game preferences. The RX 9060 XT performs well at 1440p in most modern games, whereas the RX 9070 XT is better for 4K. If you're watching your budget, the 9060 XT is the way to go!

I totally agree about 4K; it's not worth it if your monitor is pricey too. I'm also using a 27-inch 1440p monitor, so the Ryzen 5 9600X paired with the RX 9060 XT sounds perfect for me. Plus, I heard the 9060 XT is pretty comparable to the 5060, which is awesome! Will this setup work well for VR or Vtubing too?
