I'm planning to build a gaming and work PC with a budget of around $1500 CAD. I'm wondering if it's generally better to avoid pre-built systems. I would love your thoughts on my current build and any recommendations you might have. Here's the current component list:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor - $239.99
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE - $48.90
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E - $214.99
- **Memory:** Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB DDR5 - $114.99
- **Storage:** Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB NVME SSD - $164.00
- **Video Card:** Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB - $529.99
- **Case:** Montech XR ATX Mid Tower - $79.99
- **Power Supply:** MSI MAG A750GL 750W PSU - $124.99

Total cost comes to around $1517.84. Let me know what you think!

Looks solid overall! If you're in Canada, you might want to check out r/bapccanada for prices and recommendations. I did a similar build with the 9600X, and it was a bit cheaper. Here’s my version if you want to see it: [Build Link](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/gpQxBq).

I’m curious why the memory and cooler are showing $0 on your list. Do you need both coolers, and is your power supply overkill for your setup?

I've also seen some decent bundle deals at Memory Express and Canada Computers that might save you $100-$200. Just consider that some components in those may be priced higher individually.

Not bad for a first build! The RX 9060 XT card is great for gaming and has good VRAM for upcoming titles. If you see a 9600X for a similar price, I’d recommend going for that instead—it’s a great price-to-performance option! Also, I’d go for an 850W PSU for more headroom.

Great advice! I'll keep an eye out for sales on that. Thanks!

Just a heads up, the P3 Plus uses QLC flash, which isn't very durable. You might want to look at SSDs with TLC flash instead, like the Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 or WD Blue SN580. They're more reliable for long-term use.

I personally wouldn't go with an AMD GPU for long-term support, but it should serve you well. If you can find a 5060 TI around the same price, that might be worth considering!

Noted! I’m not really leaning towards AMD, so I’ll check out that option.
