I'm looking for a reliable SMTP relay service that can handle scan-to-email functions from multiple printers located in different places. I've been trying to configure Microsoft 365 for this, but I'm having trouble, possibly due to TLS issues. Is there an SMTP relay service that allows authentication simply through IP address or a straightforward method?

SMTP2Go is great! It works well for setting up these types of email functions without any hassle.
I keep recommending SMTP2Go because it really handles everything you need for scan-to-email. It’s been really reliable!
If you're comfortable with Linux, setting up Postfix with SASL and OAuth2 tied to a Microsoft 365 account can be done pretty quickly. It allows all your devices to relay through that instance. It’s a solid approach if you want more control!
As others have said, SMTP2Go is pretty affordable and does exactly what you’re looking for. It’s worth considering!
You can actually set up Microsoft 365 to do this. They have a guide on how to use multifunction devices and applications to send emails. Check it out; it might solve your issue without needing another service!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into the guide and see if I can get it working without needing an external service.
