Advice Needed for Building a Gaming PC on a $600 Budget

I'm looking to build a gaming PC and would prefer to keep my budget between $500 and $600. While I could stretch a bit over $600 if necessary, I want something that can handle games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, and others without issues. Any recommendations on components or builds that would be up to date and provide solid performance?

Check out this build I put together:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050
- **RAM**: 16GB DDR4
- **Storage**: 1TB NVMe SSD
- **Motherboard**: B550 chipset
- **PSU**: 650W 80+ Gold
- **Case**: Mid-tower

Total is roughly $640, but it should run your games really well! Here’s a link to my PCPartPicker list: [pcpartpicker](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rMqs2x)

You might want to consider upgrading to a 5600 or 5600X along with a 5060 for a solid 1080p experience. It'll be a great setup!

Also, Newegg has a good combo deal that might save you some cash! It’s a better motherboard for a similar price. Check it out here: [Newegg Combo Deal](https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4818401). You could end up saving about $30.

Here’s another option for consideration:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-12400F (around $116)
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO H610M-G (about $88.96)
- **Memory**: 16GB DDR4-3200 (about $30)
- **Storage**: 512GB SSD (approximately $27)
- **GPU**: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5050 (around $250)
- **Case**: Cooler Master Q300L (around $39)
- **PSU**: 650W Bronze (roughly $50)

Total is about $600.89, which is right at your limit but solid for gaming. Here’s the full list: [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zPt6wY).

That Ryzen 5 5500 build still looks tempting though! Which one would you choose?

That’s a great build too! Just make sure to check on latest prices as they can change fast.
