Hey everyone, I'm having a tough time trying to delete a folder on my computer. I keep getting a message saying I need permission from TrustedInstaller to delete it. I even tried changing the ownership of the folder to my account, but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you're trying to delete something that's protected by the system. TrustedInstaller is there to safeguard crucial files. Can you clarify what folder you're attempting to remove?

TrustedInstaller prevents you from messing with essential OS files, like the WindowsApps folder. That could be why you're hitting a wall.

I'm trying to get rid of some old app files from my previous C: drive since I added a new SSD.

You should be careful about deleting system folders directly. I recommend going through the Settings app to uninstall anything you don’t want. If your new apps aren’t on the new SSD yet and were originally installed on the C: drive, they’ll likely need to be reinstalled before you can delete the old files safely. Plus, always make sure you have backups of your important data!
