I need some help with a weird issue I'm having with my Windows 10 PC. After not using it for a couple of months, I turned it back on and everything seems fine up until Windows is about to load. The BIOS screen displays correctly, but as soon as the Windows 10 logo is about to switch to the login screen, both monitors turn off like the PC is going into sleep mode. The hardware seems fine since the monitors work during the BIOS setup. Here's what I've already tried without success: disconnecting everything but the keyboard and one monitor, booting into safe mode (same problem occurs), attempting a system restore (which failed), resetting BIOS to defaults, and using the Windows troubleshooter. I'm hoping to avoid a full reinstall if possible, but I'm considering it since I need to upgrade to Windows 11 eventually. Any thoughts?

Before jumping to a reinstall, make sure your BIOS settings are correct. It’s possible that something there got reset or changed. If booting in safe mode didn’t work, check if you can access any recovery options, like command prompt or system repair tools. Also, it might be worth looking into if there are any updates available for your graphics card, since that could also impact the loading process.
This sounds like a power management issue. Sometimes power plans can mess with your display settings, causing the monitors to turn off too soon. I’d check your power settings and see if the screen timeout is set really low. Another angle could be a graphics driver problem; running a driver uninstaller like DDU might help, but it could be tricky if you can't see anything for long enough. Also, can you check if it works using onboard graphics instead of the card? That could narrow down the issue.

Oh, I tried that! Windows doesn’t even get to the login screen. When the loading icon disappears, the monitors just turn off. I think my onboard graphics are disabled because nothing shows up when I connect the monitor to it.
