Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for an upgrade and would love some advice. I'm currently using an Intel 10700K paired with an ASUS Rog Strix motherboard, 32GB of RAM, and a 3090Ti, along with three 4TB NVMe drives. I'm planning to switch to a 9800X3D, keep my 3090Ti for now, and eventually replace it with another high-end GPU.
I rely heavily on fast storage for gaming, so I'm looking for a motherboard that can support multiple NVMe drives (ideally similar to my current setup but with PCIe 4.0) without bottlenecking my GPU or NVMe performance. I'm not on a super tight budget but want to avoid unnecessary features or flashy RGBs. Any recommendations for motherboards that fit this description, or examples of similar builds? Thanks!

You might want to stick with your PCIe 3.0 NVMe drives for now since you probably won't notice a huge difference in speed unless you're using your rig for productivity tasks. Given that you mainly game, keeping those drives could save you some cash to spend elsewhere! But if you really want PCIe 4.0, consider an NVMe expansion card for more slots without their lanes interfering with your GPU.
That makes sense! I appreciate the insight. If I'm mostly gaming, then maybe I can save on the storage upgrade and invest in something more impactful for my system.
