Is it time to upgrade my GPU for better gaming performance?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D paired with an RX 5700, but I'm starting to feel like my setup is a bit outdated for some games. I found a good deal on the XFX Radeon RX 9070 at Microcenter, but I'm hesitating on whether I should buy it now or wait for a better price. I play on dual 1440p monitors and the CPU seems fine for now as I got it for $95 used earlier this year. I also have a 650W 80+ Gold PSU. What do you think—should I go for the upgrade or hold off a bit longer?

That RX 9070 is a solid choice and the deal looks tempting! However, XFX suggests a minimum of 800W for that GPU. Since you’re currently on a 650W PSU, you might want to consider upgrading that as well to ensure stable performance. If budget allows, getting an 850W PSU would be a good move alongside the new GPU. Otherwise, it might be smart to wait until you can upgrade both.

I totally get the hesitation! Upgrading GPUs can be too expensive if the PSU isn't ready for it. If an 850W PSU isn't in your immediate budget, it might be wise to wait for better prices or save a bit before making the upgrade. You don’t want to push your system too hard with an underpowered PSU.
