Did both my laptop’s SSD and HDD fail at the same time?

I was using my laptop normally when it suddenly rebooted and I saw the error message: "EFI PXE O for IPv6 (8C-8C-AA-AC-11-52) boot failed." I checked the BIOS, but neither my 512GB SSD nor my 1TB HDD is showing up. Is it possible that both storage devices have failed at the exact same time? How can I confirm what's going on?

Sounds frustrating! It could just be a misconfigured setting—check the BIOS and make sure the drives are recognized. If you can't see them, there might be something wrong. You could try reseating the drives or checking connections inside if you're comfortable with that. Plus, if you know someone with a compatible setup, testing the drives there can help identify the issue.

It's unlikely that both drives died simultaneously. The error means your laptop is attempting to boot from the network instead of the drives. Try rebooting and entering the BIOS. If the drives don’t show up, check your boot priority settings. You might also want to play around with options related to CSM or other settings in BIOS. If they still don’t appear, consider resetting your BIOS to default settings. If that still doesn’t work, you could test the drives in another device to see if they’re functional.
