Hey everyone! I'm having a major issue with my PC. It was running perfectly fine until I let it update Windows last night. After the update, I turned it off and went to sleep. Today, when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't even reach the BIOS screen—just a black screen. I've experimented with the CMDOS jumper and swapped around my RAM sticks, and once I managed to boot into Windows, but after a restart, I was back to the black screen. My motherboard has a yellow LED, indicating a memory issue, which is puzzling because I don't believe both RAM sticks died at the same time. Also, if I put a RAM stick in the empty third slot, a red LED turns on, suggesting a CPU problem. Sometimes the fans power up, and sometimes they barely move. I've tried using the system without my GPU and tested the RAM separately, but nothing seems to work. My specs are: Ryzen 9600x CPU, Asrock B850 Steel Legend Wifi MOBO, 16GBx2 Corsair RAM, and 2x 1TB Crucial NVMe SSDs. I know my PSU is fine since I tested it with another system. I'm leaning towards the motherboard being the issue since it's not detecting the RAM correctly. Is there anything else I might be overlooking before I consider warranty options? Thanks for any guidance!

It sounds like you're dealing with a classic case of Asrock motherboard issues. They have a bit of a reputation for trouble with Ryzen 9000 series CPUs. I’d recommend searching for "asrock ryzen 9000 issues" to see if others have reported similar problems. But your yellow LED pointing to a RAM issue is definitely worth looking into as well; could be a sign of something deeper like a motherboard malfunction.

That makes sense. But usually, wouldn’t a faulty RAM situation trigger a red LED instead of yellow? I kinda thought the yellow meant something different, which makes this even trickier to diagnose!
