Hey everyone! I'm currently running Windows 10 and have an AMD Ryzen 5 1500x quad-core processor. I saw that it's not officially supported for Windows 11, but I'm considering bypassing that restriction. I do have TPM and secure boot, so I'm covered there. I'm just wondering if bypassing this limitation is a bad idea. What kind of problems might I face if I go ahead with this? Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks!

Please don't bypass it! Instead, consider upgrading your CPU to something compatible. You can find solid options in the Ryzen 3000, 4000, or 5000 series. Just make sure to update your BIOS first before swapping the CPUs, and then do a fresh install of Windows 11 from a USB drive. That’ll keep you safe and supported!
I’ve been running Win 11 on older Intel CPUs without major issues. I just have to manually download updates since they don’t show up normally. Just a heads-up, though: if you do bypass and things go sideways, you might end up spending a lot of time troubleshooting!
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend bypassing those restrictions. There have been reports that Microsoft could deny OS updates for unsupported systems. You might end up missing out on important security updates, which is a risk you wouldn't want to take! Stick with supported hardware if you can.
