Looking for Advice on Buying a New PC for Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm heading to Ireland for my studies and can't take my old PC with me since it's not great anyway. I'm planning to buy a new one but I'm stuck on what to get. Should I go for a pre-built system or try my hand at building one? I mostly play games like Call of Duty, Elden Ring, Fortnite, modded Minecraft, and FIFA. Any recommendations would be super helpful!

Considering you're a student, I'd recommend getting a laptop. It’s versatile for both studying and gaming. You can easily connect it to a monitor and peripherals for a more desktop-like setup. I personally love the Asus Zephyrus G14; it's compact and powerful. You could get a solid model for around $1,400. I got mine during a sale for around $750, which was a steal!

That makes sense, but the university is providing me with a laptop already. Wouldn't it be better to invest in a desktop instead?
