Is Microsoft Defender Enough for My PC Issues?

Hey everyone! I've noticed some weird behavior on my PC lately and there are some strange entries showing up in Task Manager. Even though Microsoft Defender hasn't flagged anything, I'm starting to second-guess whether it's enough to keep my system safe. I used to work in tech support when having multiple anti-malware programs was the norm, but I've heard Defender is pretty good on its own these days. What do you think? Are there any alternative antivirus options you would recommend? Thanks!

What kind of strange behavior are you experiencing that makes you think there might be malware? Just curious why you’re having doubts about Defender doing its job. Generally, I think Defender is solid, but I sometimes use Malwarebytes as a backup for extra peace of mind. It might help to elaborate on what specifically you're seeing so we can give better advice!

Can you share more about the odd things you’re noticing? It’s tough to provide guidance without a bit more detail!

According to the official guidelines here, Microsoft Defender is generally considered sufficient for Windows systems. While some users prefer other antivirus options, it’s best to stick with Defender unless you have specific concerns. It would help if you shared those 'strange behaviors' so we can determine if they're actually problematic. Remember that sometimes the diagnosis might be off, and more info could point towards other issues instead!
